Hello Friends, We had to backtrack a couple hours towards and then through Los Angeles to get to Santa Monica from our detour down to San Diego. Most of today we spent at the beach. It got real hot so Runny made some of her delicious and refreshing party punch. Choral the crab really seemed to like it and refused to eat her typical crab food after trying the punch. When Choral wasn't slurping away at the punch, she was helping Melody build sand castles. And by helping I mean doing all the work. Melody's ghostly arms couldn't work the sand. With a theremin song, Melody summoned an army of crabs to help and they had built a grand fortress before they got a whiff of the party punch. That struck a sour note with Choral who isn't all that into sharing. The crabs retreated back into the sea when Choral wouldn't give them a drink, taking Sunny's beach towel with them as payment. Sunny couldn't protest as he'd gotten too much sun by that point and looked red as a lobster. Joe and I had to carry him back to the RV as Sunny couldn't move, his joints stiff as a crab shell. Runny, Joe, and I have spent the last few hours wrapping Sunny in aloe soaked bandages. He looks like our Mummy friend! Both Melody and Choral crashed, probably from excess sun and their Mortal Energy drinks and party punch. They are sleeping, snoring in a dreamy duet. Gummy is driving now and we plan to continue traveling up the coast from Santa Monica, but as he's on the scent of some Slender Tenders we might get sidetracked. Your friend, Felipe Femur
