Directions
Make some purple and green Monster Cookies by following these 11 easy steps.
Step 1:
Assemble all your ingredients.
Step 2:
Add 2 sticks (1 cup) of softened butter to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3:
Add both granulated and brown sugars to the bowl and mix well.
Step 4:
Crack and add two eggs, salt, vanilla, and baking powder to your butter and sugar mixture. Again, mix well.
Step 5:
Since we are making two different colors (purple and green) you need to split the dough in two at this point. Place half of the dough in a separate mixing bowl.
Step 6:
Add green food coloring to one bowl and mix. Add purple (blue and red) food coloring to other mixing bowl and mix. Add more food coloring until desired color is achieved.
Step 7:
Add and mix 1 and 1/2 cups flour to each bowl. Add 1 cup chocolate chips to each mixing bowl. Mix until well integrated.
Step 8:
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on cooking sheet. If the dough is too sticky (shouldn’t be), chill it in the fridge for twenty minutes before rolling it into balls.
Step 9:
Fill the cooking sheet with dough balls. Average cooking sheets should hold approximately 16 cookies. Recipe should make 32 cookies, at two batches.
Step 10:
Cook cookies in oven until they are no longer doughy inside. This should take about thirteen minutes.
Step 11:
Decorate your monster cookies with candy eyes, gummy worms, or what ever you want! Enjoy!
