How to Make Your Own Skeleton Decoration
The following is a safe, fun, and kid friendly way to replicate an x-ray of your arm, where you can see the skeleton within you. This cheap and easy craft uses many items that you probably already have lying around the house, so get started now! It is great as a Halloween decoration or for the whole year round. Directions
To make your own fake x-ray/skeleton decoration, you need only follow these directions.
Step 1:
Find a steady and flat surface on which to work. Lay down newspaper to keep area clean (optional). Assemble your materials.
Step 2:
Dab white paint on the underside of your arm starting a few inches from below your wrist. Also dab paint on your palm and the inside of your fingers and thumb.
Step 3:
Press your hand onto the sheet of black construction paper and remove it, while being careful not to smear the paint. Wash the paint off your hand(s).
Step 4:
Let the paint dry on the paper.
Step 5:
Once the paint is dried, cut five cotton swabs in half. You will glue these to the finger joints outlined with the white paint.
Step 6:
Glue the other cotton swabs in the general area where your bones would be. See the picture for a better idea of where to place the cotton swabs.
