Hello friends, Still here in San Diego, CA, but no, this is not the zoo again, per se. This is the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. We saw the bird show first, then spent some time in the Gorilla Forest, before heading all the way up to Condor Ridge through Elephant Valley. We ended the day with a caravan safari ride through what was labeled the African Plains. "We" being everyone but Joe Miller who said he wasn't feeling well and instead sought out the restrooms. There, on the plains, we saw rhinos, gazelle, and the giraffes in the picture on the front of this postcard. As you might be able to tell from the distorted picture, the camera is still malfunctioning a little bit from its fall into the tiger's den yesterday. I keep getting these weird lens flares, but not all the time or in every picture, just a few here and there. Unfortunately the flare nearly ruined the best picture I took today of the giraffes. Joe Miller seemed really distraught about them when I showed him the ruined pictures later. He said a shot of me with the gorillas would be much better for the postcard, but I liked the giraffes! He was strangely persistent that I use another photo and very upset. More so than even Gummy and Gummy is the one who damaged the camera in the first place. We head out tomorrow morning. I'll send you another card later. Your friend, Felipe Femur
