Hello friends, Felipe Femur here. This is the first of many postcards from the mortal world you'll be getting from me. We've started our adventure to travel around the mortal world here in Nevada, a state in the USA. Rachel, NV to be exact. Joe Miller, Gummy, Melody, Sunny, Runny, and myself can sleep comfortably in the RV, but we decided we wanted the full experience and took up a room at the Little A'Le'Inn. Surprising there were still vacancies. Rachel is a very small town off the Extraterrestrial Highway which is a very lonely highway, I must say. For awhile there our RV was the only vehicle on the road. Little eerie. Rachel only has about 50 to 100 residents, but a lot more tourists. The Little A'Le'Inn where we're staying is always crowded with aviation enthusiasts and UFO hunters. I guess this makes sense as Rachel is the closest habitation to the Nellis Air Force Range as well as the ever intriguing Area 51. The food at the alien-themed restaurant is delicious but Joe Miller keeps insisting it's not authentic. What an average, down to earth guy like him knows about authentic alien food, I don't know. All I know was it was unusually good. Sunny the vampire spent the day sunbathing on top of the RV while Melody played an eerie mix of tropical Reggie and UFO music for the patrons at the restaurant. Runny had a cold and spent the day resting and watching TV. Joe Miller, Gummy, and I walked around the small town in search of a pool. We found one that had more lily pads and algae than the swamp back home in Toonstone. It was great! After swimming for a few hours my bones were dyed a lovely green by the algae. After this, the three of us visited the famous black mailbox and the Extraterrestrial Highway sign, and people snapped pictures of me all the while. Joe shied away from the camera and Gummy was beginning to get too hungry to care about anything but eating. I signed a few autographs before I realized everyone thought I was an alien with my green bones. They wanted to see an alien not a skeleton. How embarrassing! We got out of there quick, returning to the restaurant for dinner. Sunny, Runny, and Melody joined us and Melody offered to buy dinner with the tips she'd made throughout the day. At night we saw weird lights and heard strange noises coming from the direction of Area 51. Poor Joe Miller missed them all as he was out getting ice from the ice machine at the time. To wrap this up, we had a great time in Rachel, NV. We'll be heading out in the morning after I scrub all this algae out of my bones. I'll send you all another postcard when we get to our next destination. Until then, take care! Your friend, Felipe Femur
