Runny the witch, here. I want to share the recipe for one of most wicked good tea time snacks this side of the grave. Pumpkin Patch Batch of Scones! They’re sure to please ghouls and guests alike. You can sink them in milk and tea or bury them in delicious clotted cream or jam! The recipe makes a lot of scones (about a dozen) so save some for your friends, throw a Halloween party, or entomb the extras in the fridge until you’re ready for a delicious snack. Each batch of Pumpkin Patch Scones is full of pumpkin spice flavor. Decorate the scones any way you’d like. Use white chocolate and pumpkin spice pumpkins like I did, or make the scones into jack-o-lanterns with frosting. You can even add food dye to make the dough look like orange pumpkins. Directions
Make some Pumpkin Patch Scones by following these 10 easy steps.
Step 1:
Assemble all your ingredients. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2:
Mix dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder, pumpkin spice powder, and sugar) in a bowl. Stir until well combined.
Step 3:
Cut in butter.
Step 4:
In a separate bowl, whisk egg until well beaten. Add whipping cream to the beaten egg. Mix well and add to your dry mix.
Step 5:
Sprinkle flour on cooking sheet or flat surface.
Step 6:
Roll dough into a ball, pack it down with your hands, and put on floured surface.
Step 7:
Rub flour on your rolling pin and flatten dough.
Step 8:
Cut out scones with pumpkin cookie cutter. Re-pack, roll, and flattened remaining dough as necessary.
Step 9:
Bake scones for 13 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 10:
Decorate and Enjoy!
